Al Waab is a 55-metre motor yacht delivered by Alia Yachts in 2021, designed in collaboration with Dutch studio Vripack. All outfitting and CAD/CAM works on the project were carried out by Notilus Design.
Built in just 24 months despite global pandemic disruptions and supply chain challenges, Al Waab holds a world record as the longest steel and aluminium vessel below 500 GT. Her slender 9.1-metre beam improves propulsion efficiency, enabling 14.5 knots during trials while consuming approximately 35% less fuel than comparable 499 GT yachts.
The design prioritises expansive outdoor living — 286 square metres of exterior deck space including a 78-square-metre sundeck — alongside innovative interior layouts. Six guest cabins are complemented by a flexible gym that converts to additional cabin space, a dedicated beach club, and extensive glazing throughout to maximise natural light. The owner specified warm ambient lighting with dimmers replacing direct ceiling spots across all spaces.
